Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees Election Information

The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected at large to serve without compensation for overlapping terms of three years each. The general election of board members shall be on the May uniform election date. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the number of seats with expiring terms shall be elected. Application process:
Candidate application packets are available after January 8, 2025, at the Lufkin ISD Administration Building located at 101 Cotton Sq. Lufkin, TX 75904 or you can click here to access the application for a place on the ballot.

First day to file: Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.

Last day to file: Friday, February 14, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.

ABOUT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Board shall consist of seven members. All Lufkin ISD Residents who met eligibility requirements specified in Board Policy BBA (Legal) ARE eligible to run for a position in the Board of Trustees election. Board members shall be elected for three-year terms, with elections conducted annually.
