Wax to the max! Coston fourth graders assembled a live wax museum
The fourth graders at Coston Elementary researched a historical character and made them come alive with costumes, informational posters and presentations to create a “live” wax museum.

“Dr. Andre Emmons will bring experience to his new position with Lufkin ISD,” Superintendent Lynn Torres said. “He will work closely with the administrative team to ensure success in auxiliary services and safety measures in the district. Lufkin High School recognized 159 seniors at the Lufkin High School Scholarship Recognition Program at the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium.

Amanda Gentry named new principal at Herty Primary
“I am pleased that Amanda Gentry will take on a new role at Herty Primary as the new principal,” Lynn Torres, Supt. of Schools, said. “She is very familiar with the needs of that campus having served as assistant principal. I have no doubt that she will do an excellent job as the instructional leader of this campus.”
