Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees Election Information
The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected at large to serve without compensation for overlapping terms of three years each. The general election of board members shall be on the May uniform election date. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the number of seats with expiring terms shall be elected. The Board shall consist of seven members. All Lufkin ISD Residents who met eligibility requirements specified in Board Policy BBA (Legal) ARE eligible to run for a position in the Board of Trustees election. Board members shall be elected for three-year terms, with elections conducted annually.
