Jill Gaston named Chief Financial Officer
Lufkin ISD announced Tuesday the appointment of Jill Gaston as its new Chief Financial Officer. Gaston is replacing Charlotte Bynum, who recently retired.

Lufkin High School Val & Sal named at Panthers of Prestige Academic Awards Ceremony
John Alexander was named the 2024 Lufkin High School valedictorian, and Eesha Kumar the salutatorian at the Panthers of Prestige ceremony honoring the top 20 students and their Educators of Influence at the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium tonight.
Request for public comment on federal grant applications
In accordance with federal regulations, an entity planning to submit a federal grant application must afford a reasonable opportunity for public comment on the application before it is submitted to the Texas Education Agency for approval.
