This month’s recipient of the Golden Spatula Award is the Lufkin Middle School cafeteria staff. The Golden Spatula is given to the campus cafeteria staff who goes above and beyond to make sure students are served delicious, nutritious meals every day.
Amanda Calk, Director of Student Nutrition, said, ” These ladies work very hard to feed lots of hungry middle school students every day. On average they feed 500 students for breakfast and 1000 students for lunch. They do this in very small kitchen and serving area. They still take time to decorate and dress up for their students in order to make the lunchtime experience more fun and inviting. We appreciate everything they do for our students at LMS!”
