Michael Calhoun was named Valedictorian and Allison Todd Salutatorian at the Senior Breakfast at the Convention Center this morning. The two received an additional medal for their honors among the 45 Summa Cum Laude announced at the breakfast. Michael, who had a GPA of 107.409, is planning on attending Rice University in Houston and majoring in biochemistry and Allison Todd will be attending Washington University in St. Louis to pursue engineering and history.
They both agreed that hard work is what got them where they are today. Calhoun said, “It’s not just natural ability, you have to work hard.” Todd said to make sure you are well-rounded. She said, “I was in drill team and that was a big part of my life.”
The two will give their graduation speeches at Abe Martin Stadium at 8 p.m. on Friday.
