READ TO WIN!
Anderson Elementary had a “Read to Win” pep rally this morning as a kickoff event for an Accelerated Reader (AR) challenge for the nine weeks. The whole event was football themed and Lufkin High School cheerleaders, athletes and drill team members cheered on the students and spoke to the importance of reading. There was even a dance off between LHS mascots Fang and Prissy that the kids loved!
Earlier last week, students set AR point goals and if they reach those goals at the end of the nine weeks, they get to eat donuts with the Panthers who will be coming back Oct. 3. Let’s READ TO WIN!
