The Lufkin Middle School bond project is moving right along and now in Phase II. Stephen Berry of Berry and Clay Constructions Managers told the board on Tuesday at a Board Work Session that the LMS band hall is being completely remodeled along with a reception area, practice rooms, and new foyer.
According to LMS Principal Andres Mijares, the band hall is in the finishing stages of renovations, and they anticipate moving students in within the next couple of weeks. The furniture deliveries and movers are scheduled through next week.
“The renovations made to the LMS Band Hall is a clear demonstration of how Lufkin ISD and our administrators support this band program and the future of our students. We are thankful for this investment that will encourage the Lufkin band program to continue growing for years to come,” said Tommy Smith, LMS Band Director.
