Superintendent Lynn Torres announced Cindy Stewart will be the new principal at Brookhollow Elementary in the fall. She will be taking Amy Fain’s position who is retiring.
Stewart is a 1987 graduate of Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas. After high school, she attended Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology. She continued at SFASU to receive her Master of Education in Counseling and principal certification.
Stewart served as the school counselor at Coston Elementary for five years and the principal at Trout Primary since June 2020.
“It is my pleasure and honor to have the opportunity to join Brookhollow Elementary as principal and continue to work with the students and families who progress from Trout Primary,” said Stewart. “I look forward to fostering an inclusive, supportive and successful learning environment for all students. I am committed to working with the Brookhollow team that consists of dedicated staff to make a positive impact and contribute to the growth and progress of our school.”
“Cindy is an excellent leader,” Supt. Torres said. “That leadership has been apparent in all the positions she has held in this district. She will bring her calm presence and attention to detail to the Brookhollow campus. I have no doubt that she will be successful in leading the Brookhollow team.”
Stewart is married to Brad who serves as the district’s Chief Technology Officer. Together, they have two daughters, Kyra and Kylie.
