The Lufkin ISD Education Foundation board along with LHS cheerleaders, drumline, and LISD Administration loaded up on a yellow school bus to deliver big checks to award teachers’ innovative ideas. The Grant Patrol is a yearly occurrence that quickly notifies everyone on campus that someone has won a big check. Imagine loud drumming, cymbals clanging, cheerleaders cheering and cowbells ringing all while the group parades down the hallways on twelve campuses across the district. The best part is the teachers’ reactions as they realize the ideas they’ve dreamed up will now be a reality for their students. Thanks to the Education Foundation and all of the donors to the foundation for making this day possible.
