The Lufkin ISD Administration named Clarence Bennett as the new principal of ACE/DAEP, the alternative school at Lufkin ISD. Bennett is currently in the district serving as an Assistant Principal at Lufkin High School since 2004. Before Lufkin High School, he was an Assistant Principal at Robert E. Lee High School, Chapel Hill ISD, and Jacksonville ISD.
Bennett has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Education from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University with a certification in Mid-Management.
Bennett plans to focus on students as a whole in his new role at the ACE/DAEP campus.
“I look forward to building relationships with our students, teachers, parents and engaging the community to support all students. I am also excited about all we will accomplish together for our students and celebrating our collective success this upcoming school year,” said Clarence Bennett.
“I am excited that Clarence Bennett will be the leader of the ACE campus. He brings a range of new ideas to improve that campus. Clarence will always treat students with compassion and dignity,” said Lynn Torres, Superintendent of Schools.
