At the July board meeting, the board of trustees approved the 2021-2022 Salary Compensation Plan including a 2% salary increase for all employees except bus drivers who already received a pay raise during the One-Time COVID-19 Pay Adjustment in January. Bus drivers received a $1 increase per hour.
Charlotte Bynum, Chief Financial Officer, presented the plan last Tuesday at the board’s work session. She said the plan is updated and adopted annually by the board of trustees and is administered jointly through the Human Resource Department and the Superintendent of Schools.
“The salary compensation plan addresses salaries for all employees of the district. It includes a 2% salary increase and also certain key areas have been addressed, primarily auxiliary employees,” said Bynum.
“I want to thank everyone for the hard work on the salary compensation plan,” said board member Matt Knight.
“We are excited to be able to offer a raise for our employees. Please thank the board of trustees for their commitment to support our staff,” said Lynn Torres, Lufkin ISD Superintendent.
