The Lufkin High School yearbook staff has been recognized by Balfour Yearbooks with the Featured recognition for its outstanding contribution to scholastic journalism. The 2019 Lufkin High School yearbook is featured in Balfour’s 2020 Yearbook Yearbook for the cover design.

Andy Adams, the Fang yearbook adviser, said 2018-19 head cheerleaders Madison Corley and Katie Cox came up with the design, which featured Madison’s cheer shoes with “Lufkin” and “Panthers” on them. The calligraphy, “A Walk in our Shoes”, was penned by Molly Clark, and the photographer was Destiny Weeks. The cover carried the theme throughout the book, in which students’ shoes were shown at the bottom of every page.
