Students from Lufkin ISD were honored for winning a poetry and poster/drawing contest at the Women in Red luncheon sponsored by Woodland Heights Medical Center at the Convention Center downtown Lufkin. 6th grade students countywide participated in a poetry and poster/drawing contest focused on heart health. The winners are:
